Many people agree with Ezra Pound when he concludes that "man is the superior animal", in the first paragraph of the mediatio. However, I prefer the second one. I don't think human kind is the most evolved species, not only because of "the curious habits of man". I believe that each species is perfect in its difference, because taken together they complement each other. A kind, whatsoever, could never exist without the other ones. Man may be better at doing some tasks than other species, but it can never be considered the superior one. Maria Correia 10ºA
